Quarterly, monthly, weekly or for a full season you have to issue the crew roster & pairings, to solve the schedule in an airline or the customer request in executive aviation, the solutions must be cost efficient, meet the government regulations, union contracts, initial and periodic training requirements, for one or multiple bases, must be equitable, avoid fatigue and attend crew requests, which can simply be guaranteed days off (GDO) and leave periods up to complex roster auction systems.
The produced roster must be resilient, so that on the day of operation, the changes that will surely occur due to setbacks, do not end up destroying good intentions.
We have built components to meet the requirements of a standard crew planning solution, however, we have learned is necessary to build and maintain customized solutions for the company and its particular and changing environment. Of course many components are reusable, object reuse, inheritance, encapsulation, and code component polymorphism that enable Oracle Java Cloud & Database technologies allow us to do so at an attractive cost.
